Volunteering as a Lifeboat Visits Team Member at Helvick Head Lifeboat Station is a rewarding way to support the RNLI’s mission of saving lives at sea. This role plays a vital part in inspiring people of all ages through memorable, educational, and engaging visits to the station.

What You’ll Do Guided Station Tours Lead informative and inspiring tours of the lifeboat station for a wide range of visitors, including school groups, community organisations, and corporate teams. You’ll help bring the RNLI’s lifesaving work to life by sharing stories, showcasing equipment, and creating a welcoming experience for all.

Promoting the Station Act as an ambassador for the RNLI within the local community. You’ll help strengthen the station’s reputation, champion its work, and encourage public support for our lifesaving mission.

Support the organisation and smooth running of the Visits Team. This includes helping to manage fellow volunteers, ensuring the station is prepared for visitors, and maintaining a safe, friendly environment.

Work closely with the operational lifeboat crew to ensure that all visits run seamlessly and never interfere with rescue readiness or emergency operations.
