Event Support Volunteer (Edinburgh Mayday Collections)

Mayday is a call for help. Usually, RNLI lifesavers answer mayday calls and go to rescue others. This May, they are asking for YOUR help.

You can answer the call for help by offering your time at the RNLI **Edinburgh City Centre Mayday **collections on 02/05/2026 We will be fundraising through collections throughout the city centre, on the Mound Precinct and in Edinburgh Waverley and just *an hour or so *of your time will help to raise funds to allow our volunteer crews to continue to save lives.

The money raised will help us keep you safe this summer, when thousands of people will get into danger by the water. Ordinary people enjoying days out with family or friends. It can happen to anyone. It could happen to you, or to someone you love.

We are determined to be there when we’re needed most. But we need to be ready. Training, kit, stations, fuel … these are just some of the things we need to save lives.
