Event Support Volunteer (Galway City MAYDAY Collection)

Mayday is a call for help. Usually, RNLI lifesavers answer Mayday calls and go to rescue others. This May, they are asking for YOUR help.

You can answer the call for help by offering your time at the RNLI Galway City Mayday collections on Friday the 22nd of May. We will be fundraising through collections in Eyre Square and just an hour or two of your time will help to raise funds to allow our volunteer crews to continue to save lives.

The money raised will help us keep you safe this summer, when thousands of people will get into danger by the water. Ordinary people enjoying days out with family or friends. It can happen to anyone. It could happen to you, or to someone you love.

We are determined to be there when we’re needed most. But we need to be ready. Crew Training, Crew Kit, Lifeboat Stations & Fuel … these are just some of the things we need to save lives.
