Shop Manager/Co-ordinator (Ballycotton RNLI Shop Manager)

Ballycotton RNLI is inviting members of the local community to step forward for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a Volunteer Shop Manager at its much-loved shop, located right beside the lifeboat station. This charming shop, a firm favourite with both locals and visitors, plays a vital role in raising funds that help save lives at sea while also promoting the RNLI’s key safety messages. Supported by a dedicated and enthusiastic team of volunteers, the shop is at the heart of Ballycotton’s strong community spirit. The Volunteer Shop Manager will lead and coordinate this fantastic team, helping to maximise opening hours, grow income, and ensure a warm and welcoming experience for all customers. From recruiting and inspiring volunteers to maintaining smooth day-to-day operations, the role is central to the continued success of the shop. The Ballycotton RNLI shop also enjoys incredible support from local businesses, particularly through the sale of RNLI Christmas cards and calendars each year. There is also a wonderful opportunity for the Shop Manager to take the shop out into the community, including participation in a popular local Christmas event—bringing the RNLI mission to an even wider audience in a festive and engaging way. This is an especially exciting time for Ballycotton RNLI, with the station preparing to welcome a new lifeboat at the end of the year, marking a significant milestone for the crew and the entire community.
